Senior Accountant

We are seeking a full-time, experienced, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at our office in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul. The successful candidate will oversee the company’s accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide management with reliable financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities - Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Manage bank reconciliations, payment transactions, collections, and cash-flow reporting. - Lead month-end and year-end closing processes. - Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses. - Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal company policies. - Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, banks, and relevant authorities. - Support internal and external audits and ensure the timely submission of all required financial documents. - Monitor financial performance and provide management with accurate reports and recommendations. - Develop and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting systems. - Review contracts, invoices, expenses, and supporting financial documentation. - Mentor and support junior accounting team members when required. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, including experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance. - Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel. - Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. - Strong communication and team-management skills. - Professional proficiency in Turkish and English; Arabic is considered an advantage. - Experience working in Türkiye and familiarity with Turkish accounting and tax regulations are preferred.
